Put the science to work.

The industrial age taught us to work like machines — continuous, flat, uniform. But your brain was never built for an assembly line. These tools translate the neuroscience in Hyperefficient into practical guides for how you actually work best.

Tool 1 — Timetable Generator

Design your perfect work day.

This is a template generator for an "ideal" schedule for three broad categories of work. Select your work type to generate your ideal timetable. Each schedule assumes a wake-up time of 6am.

If you have an early (lark) or late (owl) chronotype, shift the whole schedule backwards or forwards. If not, avoid shifting the entire schedule and instead join in at the time when you wake up.

Based on Chapters 4–6 of Hyperefficient

Tool 3 — Gear Personality

What is your gear personality?

Your brain's gear personality describes how readily your alertness shifts up or down. People with a stiffer gear system slip easily into deep rest; those with a springier system stay wired for longer. Knowing yours helps you schedule work, breaks, and recovery more effectively. Answer three questions to get an estimate.

Based on Chapter 3 of Hyperefficient

1. If you lie in a quiet, dark room mid-morning for 20 minutes (not sleep-deprived), what happens?
2. How do you respond when a deadline is approaching?
3. How much caffeine do you need to feel focused in the morning?

Tool 4 — Key Insights

Ten principles from the book.

These tools are built on the science in Hyperefficient. The book goes much further — covering creativity, learning at pace of change, the cognitive cost of information overload, and more.
